Sanam and Jonathan’s Jovial Lakeside Wedding at the Whiteface Club and Resort in Lake Placid, New York
Thank you to my second shooter and friend, Abby Allaire, for being the best travel buddy from Vermont to Lake Placid and for taking some beautiful images at Sanam and Jon’s Wedding (her film game is on point!) Many of the images here are hers. And a perennial thanks to father-son duo Chris and Gil at Phototec Inc. in Rutland for their spot-on and speedy scanning and developing of all the film we photographed for Sanam and Jon’s Wedding.
Sanam and Jon’s wedding marked the first time I danced through the entire getting ready process- I blame Sanam and her bridesmaids for their electric 90’s club playlist. Sanam and her family immediately made me feel like part of their crew, and it set the first wedding of my summer season off to an excellent start.
The Adirondacks are a special place for Sanam and Jon- they rest and relax often on Lake George, so treating their friends and family to a weekend on the lake was a no-brainer for them both when they began wedding planning. While rain brought their ceremony inside, it became cozier and more intimate than Sanam and Jon could’ve ever planned, with laughter and applause abounding throughout their entire ceremony. Sanam’s mother carefully created and arranged a traditional Persian Wedding Table or a Sofreh Agrid on display during the ceremony- with food, mirrors, nuts and flowers to symbolize prosperity for the couple.
Sanam and Jon were most excited for the dance party, and when the time came, the floor was packed with everyone singing at the top of their lungs! Thank you to Sanam and Jon for collaborating with me for their wedding day.
