Ivy and Nico’s Elegant Farm Wedding at Landgoes in Tunbridge, Vermont
I reunited with one of my favorite second shooters and dear friends- John Tully. John has long been a photographer I admired since I learned about his work in 2009, and it was a delight to have him along for Ivy and Nico’s wedding. Many of these images are his.
I first met Ivy and Nico at the best place to meet people in our town- the local swimming hole (shoutout to Ivy’s twin sister Tess, my dear friend who introduced us early last summer) . Ivy grew up in Tunbridge and splits her time between her hometown (where her parents and twin sister live) and NYC, where she co-owns two bars and a liquor store (my writing can’t do justice to the impact Ivy has had on the spirits industry over the past decade and a half, so you should go check her out!) . Over the past year during their time back in Tunbridge, Ivy and Nico have become friends- and I’ve fallen in love with their kindness and life-of-the-party spirit they bring to every gathering.
With a big contingent of their guests arriving from all over the world, Ivy and Nico planned a weekend to share their love of Central Vermont with those closest to them, and the weather came through with bluebird skies and perfect temperatures to enjoy the place we all know is closest to heaven. Guests were treated to a bar truck from Wolf Tree, an open-fire-cooked family-style dinner from The Hindquarter, and florals from the woman who taught me almost everything I know about growing cut flowers, Rita from Stitchdown Farm. Intimate moments abounded, from Ivy and Nico’s vows, which brought tears to my eyes, to the speeches from their parents, siblings, and close friends. Working all day at a farm I love, surrounded by close friends who are important parts of my town, with a couple who shines brightly will definitely be one of the highlights of my summer, and I’m incredibly grateful.
