Jess and Asa’s Cozy Dance Party Wedding at the Red Lion Inn in Cohasset, Massachusetts

**It was an extra special honor to have my dear friend and talented wedding photographer Kelly Benvenuto with me for Jess and Asa’s wedding earlier this month- many of these lovely images (check out that dance floor jumping photo!) are hers.

Jess and Asa began their wedding planning process not wanting a wedding at all. Instead, they were thinking of going the elopement or intimate wedding route in order to keep things low-key and stress-free. What changed their minds? It was their family and friends who bombarded them with love in the form of enthusiastic text messages and phone calls as soon as they announced their engagement, reminding them of everyone who had rooted for their relationship from square one. After being showered by love, Jess and Asa knew it was a must to have a big celebration, and what a celebration it was!

Despite their wedding plans looking vastly different than their original idea, Jess and Asa did keep the entire process fairly stress free, and I 100% blame it on their laid-back and kind natures. They gave every vendor free reign to “do their thing” and it was a treat to watch it all come together. Even the weather cooperated- blessing us all with sunshine and light snow showers all day.

My favorite part of Jess and Asa’s wedding weekend was how excited both of their families were to welcome a new child into the family. Both Jess and Asa’s parents mentioned how lucky they felt for their child to find a perfect partner, and throughout the night, that sentiment became a major theme.
