Taylor and Josh’s Peak Foliage Wedding at the Marble House Project in Dorset, Vermont

Unlike most couples, Taylor and Josh found their venue (The Marble House Project in Dorset, Vermont) completely by accident. When driving on a night out to a theater festival, they turned around in the driveway of the historic manor and were captivated by the unique house and surrounding gardens. They planned their wedding to combine the elegance of their venue with the outrageous hues of Vermont peak foliage week, and incorporated many of their own antiques into the décor of the day.

Taylor and Josh are a thoughtful and caring couple who split their time between Boston and the schoolhouse they’re carefully renovating. I loved getting to know them throughout the planning process and when they came up to visit this past Summer. Their friends were some of the best dressed people I’ve had the pleasure of photographing, and their families were a delight to photograph. One grandma was incorporated into her family’s dance floor time in the best way I’ve ever seen: she was grinning as she was flung across the dance floor in her wheelchair as two of her grandchildren, with invisible brooms, pretended to play curling.
