Julia and Nat’s Intimate Backyard Wedding at their home in Danby, Vermont

After getting married the previous week, Julia and Nat wanted to throw a laid-back hangout weekend at their home in Vermont with their favorite people in the world. Fifty people joined them for two days of relaxation, good wine, and great country music.

Julia and Nat have the excitement for life that lights up a room and lifts up all the people around them. Every single person I talked to throughout the weekend was not only super sweet, but also couldn’t stop gushing about Julia and Nat. They love their family, their dogs, good art (Nat gave me a tour of the art all around their house when I arrived the first night, and it gave me loads of inspiration I used to document their weekend), excellent wine, and good music. Julia and Nat flew in two country artists, Baker and Marc, who they had first heard on a trip to Nashville last year and fallen in love with their songwriting and voices.

It was wonderful getting to spend a laid back weekend photographing deep ties between friends and family- thank you to Julia and Nat for trusting my creative vision!
