Alex and Jon’s Mountaintop Picnic Intimate Wedding at Mount Philo State Park in Charlotte, Vermont

I was joined today by former bride, current friend, and new apprentice, Marion, who will be assisting me at all my more intimate weddings this year. She brings her unique vision, a background in Art Therapy, and her sweet, calm presence to the weddings we collaborate on together. A couple of these photos are hers, including the one right below!

Alex and Jon’s wedding kicked off the Spring/Fall season, and what a great start it was! Under dappled light, guests chose vintage picnic baskets filled with cheese, a blanket, champagne, and macarons, then took a short walk to the ceremony spot where everyone could enjoy their snacks and watch Alex and Jon say their vows. The lodge where they served lunch afterwards was lovingly decorated with local flowers, and paper bunting. Their German Shepard, Dex (short for Dextrose, as he’s a sweetie!), joined in for their first dance, and barked his approval during the ceremony officiated by Alex and Jon’s dads. I loved spending time with Alex and Jon, their chill energy, and their sweet families!
